Metro West Rules out Rydalmere Station

April 30, 2020
Flo Mitchell

There will be no Metro West station to go through the suburb of Rydalmere. The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) has been released by the government, which outlines this decision and the key impacts of the Metro West for the suburbs who will get a station. A total of 154 properties are being acquired for this project and this includes residential, commercial and industrial property.

The announcement may come as welcome news for Rydalmere businesses however, it is sure to bring disappointment to those who would like to see a greater injection of transport options to Sydney's North West region. Although Rydalmere has been marked as receiving ferry services for Stage 2 of the Parramatta Light Rail, it will now miss out on an integrated system of linking the Light Rail to the Metro line.

FM Legal is currently representing many properties affected by the Metro West and encourages businesses and landowners to seek legal advice as soon as possible. Experienced lawyers are key to being satisfied with your compensation.
