Michele Kendall

Michele is a Special Counsel with significant legal experience, having been
admitted as a solicitor in 2004. Her multi-disciplinary practice spans
compulsory acquisition, property law, commercial litigation, and estate
planning. Known for her meticulous attention to detail, Michele ensures
clients navigate complex NSW statutory frameworks with absolute clarity and
strategic confidence.

Michele specializes in compulsory acquisition and resumption law under the
Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991 (NSW), guiding displaced
landowners and tenants. She expertly manages the post-acquisition phase,
steering clients through the NSW Valuer General determination process,
drafting rigorous submissions, and coordinating with independent experts in
the fields of valuation, town planning, hydrology and ecology amongst others.
When a determination falls short of fair compensation, Michele will guide
clients through their Class 3 Land and Environment Court appeals to secure a
just outcome, being involved in all aspects of the appeals process including
preparation of pleadings and evidence, attendance at conciliation conferences
and hearings, and instructing Counsel and experts.

Her expertise extends to the Strata Schemes Development Act 2015 (NSW),
where she represents clients in strata renewal and collective sale proceedings.
Michele acts for dissenting lot owners during forced redevelopment disputes,
ensuring their statutory rights are protected and that any mandated sale
complies strictly with the statutory compensation principles.

Beyond acquisition and resumption matters, Michele practices in other aspects
of property law including conveyancing and retail and commercial leasing,
and commercial litigation. Michele combines high-level technical expertise
