Hunter Transmission Transmission Line Project by EnergyCo – Letters of Offer Issued

EnergyCo letters of offer for high voltage power line easements are now being issued for the Hunter Transmission Project around Gouldsville, Cedar Creek, Millfield and Wollombi.

I feel compelled to advise you not to accept the terms being offered by EnergyCo because the offers are woefully low.

EnergyCo are comparing your property to the sales of other properties that are poor quality land and in an inferior location.

Most importantly, do not agree to EnergyCo gaining an option over your land. Land values generally rise over time and agreeing to an option leaves you with less compensation and you give up your legal rights under the Just Terms Compensation Act.

Agreeing to the initial offer takes away your extensive rights under the Just Terms Act that exist to protect landowners. These rights include protections against ‘low balling’ by EnergyCo.
